Tamil Thalaivas vs Bengal Warriors Match Review
A tough night for the Tamil Thalaivas as they fell victim to
the Bengal Warriors blazing form at home. Fans at the Netaji Subhash Chandra
Bose Indoor stadium witnessed a defensive game with raiders from both teams
struggling to make a decisive impact.
Both teams opened their scoring with successful tackle
points, setting the tone for the rest of the match. The first 13 minutes were
an evenly matched affair, with the Warriors getting a grip of the game from
that point forward. A 16th minute All-Out by the Warriors saw them
extend their lead to a comfortable 15-8. The Warriors continued to display
strength in both attack and defense, and ended the first half with a strong
lead of 18-9.
The Tamil Thalaivas showed signs of a comeback in the second
half, narrowing the deficit to 20-14 in by the 29th minute. The
Thalaivas defense seemed better equipped to deal with the Warriors in the
second half, and dealt with most attacks with ease. Dong Geon Lee earned his
team points with a few successful raids. Gaining momentum at this point, The
Thalaivas’ Ajay Thakur and M. Thivakaran earned more raid points to narrow the
deficit to 23-22 towards the final minutes of the game.
The Warriors managed to pull through as a result of a super
raid by Maninder Singh, which increased their lead by 4 points. The Warriors
exhibited some class defending to close out the game, thus preserving their
unbeaten streak at home.
