An inconsistent season for the Thalaivas has not yet affected their hopes for the title. Fans of the Thalaivas are encouraged by the excellent displays of star players which has seen them take most matches down to the wire. The Thalaivas will face an opponent going through a similar period of inconsistency albeit less severe. 

The Bengal Warriors have been unable to keep hold of a decent run of form and collect wins on the run, but find themselves at 2^nd place in a fiercely competitive Zone B. The Thalaivas biggest concern on the night of the match will be their in-form raider Deepak Narwal. Joining him will be Maninder Singh, who has shown considerable skill and strength in the Warriors recent games. Warriors’ defender and captain Surjeet Singh is a reliable and consistent influence to the game and to his teammates, but will face a steep test when he comes up against the Thalaivas  raider duo of Ajay Thakur and K. Prapanjan.

The Bengal Warriors have faced a rough run of form recently but are still only behind the Patna Pirates in the race to win Zone B. While these teams are not strangers to each other, it is doubtful if their previous match-up in this competition will provide any indication of what is to happen in this match. The Warriors have a dependable presence in captain Surjeet Singh and his calmness in defence will prove invaluable. 

The Thalaivas  have a serious ace in captain Ajay Thakur who has been in phenomenal form for an otherwise under-performing team. The Warriors biggest task will be to contain Ajay Thakur while also looking out for K. Prapanjan and Dong Geon Lee, both of whom can pose a threat when on form. Maninder Singh is the preferred attacker for the Warriors and he will meet his match in talented young defender Amit Hooda and his partner C. Arun, both of whom aim to make this a frustrating match for him.
